Materials
- 3 cups of olive oil
- 3 cups of orange juice
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 ½ small glass of brandy
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 1 ammonia slip
- Juice and zest from 1 lemon
- As much flour is needed for the dough to become soft
- Approximately 1 ½ kilo of flour
Execution
Stir the olive oil with the sugar in a bowl. Dissolve the baking soda in the orange juice, add in the lemon juice and zest and pour the mixture into the bowl. Dissolve the ammonia in the brandy and pour it into the mixture. Gradually add the flour until the dough reaches a smooth consistency. Cut and mold the dough into small cookies and bake in moderate heat until golden – brown.
