From a small office at Vlachioti Laconia and by a small truck, he traded olive oil locally. His reputation, of a great trader followed him wherever he went and the quality for all these years remained exceptional. On our family’s home, using a 100 m2 storage with 3 olive oil tanks the product was stored. Over the years our exports expanded even more with the simultaneous increase in the Greek market while the knowledge and love about olive oil transferred to Georgios Cheliotis.
The following generation, in 1980, with company’s CEO Georgios Cheliotis(photo), managed to develop and expand the company’s fleet and facilities. By 2005 as requirements and needs were growing, our family moved on the construction of a modern facility for collecting and packaging olive oil. This facility houses 10 INOX tanks able to contain 1000 tn of olive oil, our fleet of tanker tanks certified for transfer of liquid foods across Greece and abroad.
On 2008 our company was certified with HACCP and ISO 22000:2005, that strongly proves our commitment on matters regarding food safety and management/
Our continuous awarding and certifications over the years, helped as create strong trading collaborations with our clients in Greece and abroad. Today our exporting activity extends across Europe, in the USA and Canada.
Nowadays Cheliotis SA has managed to lead its business unit under the leadership of Cheliotis SA. Adamantia and Dimitris Cheliotis manage marketing procedures, corporate identity, industrial design while Georgios keeps with experience and love the trade of olive oil. Cheliotis family continues to be active on its field with even more supplies than our founder Dimitris Cheliotis. However, our vision remains intact over the years on keeping the quality of our products and services.
